I agree these are not anodes but grounding plates. If you look on inside something is earthed/grounded to these plates.

this grounding plate is made from sintered bronze and can be used in a DC bounding but is not a anode.
It is normaly used for the SSB radio installation.

I agree that looks like an SSB ground plate. My 418(#120) has a zinc in a similar place from the factory, is this also a grounding plate or an engine zinc? David

This is the zinc -anode to protect against elektrolyse. In our boat connected by a yellow- green wire (bounding) to Keel,watertanks ,fueltank , gen frame Earth of Charger-inverter And DC neg buss. We disconnect it from the Allu ruddershaft (original connected by the Hanse yard )like Jefa adviced .
