Hello, I am looking for 418 wiring diagrams too, particular if the EU 230V 50 HZ is different from the US 110V 60 HZ. Any place suggestion where to find them? JoergK. |

I assume that you are proposing converting the manual primary winches to electric? I ordered my boat with manual winches but asked for them not to be fitted. I then bought two electric winches and fitted these as primaries, using the supplied manual winches as secondaries. The wiring is reasonably straightforward however getting the winch motor in position is really tough. Best solution might be to remove the lining in the aft cabins and cut an access panel into the cockpit lockers, but we did eventually get the motor on without resorting to this. The deck will also need drilling to take the motor shaft.

Hi,
The best place to access wiring diagrams and all manuals is the Hanse Sentinel web site, just register your boat and you have full access to all your boats documentation. You don't need to have the full sentinel monitoring system, like us on an older 418 just register your boat and you have access to all documents. Very useful if you want to check something quickly on your phone. The primary winches an a 418 can be upgraded with a kit by Lewmar to add the electric motor under. It needs very heavy duty dedicated wiring led back so not one to do without some professional help unless your an expert on wiring and electrics!! Google Lewmar manuals to get the details. Cheers, Jon

We had our 418 ordered with 2 electric winches as well as the 2 extra winches.
The aft ones are electric, for these winches it's possible to mount the motor under deck. The extra 2 winches are mounted on a SS plate mounted over the lines. I can't see an option to make these electric. Henk
