Hi All, After reading the interesting thread on the 400 forum section on seacocks I was wondering if any owners of a 385 has changed all the through hull fittings with Turdesign fittings?
Although ARLOKO is a 2014 build I thought it may not be a bad idea to change the seacocks next time she comes out of the water in Sept/Oct 2021 and I dont think I will find Trudesign in Montnenegro, therefore would have to order them on line. So if any 385 owner has change them and can remember what you ordered I would be very greatful if you can post the list as::: Blackwaste water discharge Galley sink Toilet intake etc etc etc Cheers |

Below is our list for a 2012 built 345 (MY 2013). Likely quite similar to a 385 I think.
We got them all from LeeSan.com who were great in the UK. 3 collars of 2 different sizes. Originally ordered a 1.25 inch for the heads outlet, but was reordered as 1.5 inch (38 mm) which fitted great and was much better. Each thru-hull fitted the existing the holes, even though the plastic is a bit thinker. We epoxied the thru-hulls in place and used sikaflex for fitting the threaded parts and collars. Quite a bit of discussion online about this, but for me that works well and the finished result seems very robust and safe. Galley sink: Tru Design Seacock Kits (Straight) Size / Variant: Tru Design Seacock Kit 1" (25mm) Straight [03411] Heads inlet: Tru Design Seacock Kits (90°) Size / Variant: Tru Design Seacock Kit 3/4" (19mm) 90 degree [03415] Heads outlet: Tru Design Seacock Kits (90°) Size / Variant: Tru Design Seacock Kit 1 1/2" (38mm) 90 degree [03418] Tru Design Load Bearing Collars Size / Variant: X 2 Tru Design Load Bearing Collar Small 1/2", 3/4", 1" [90856] Tru Design Load Bearing Collars Size / Variant: Tru Design Load Bearing Collar Medium 1 1/4", 1 1/2" [90857] Tru Design Ball Valve Spanner, ¾” & 1" Size / Variant: Tru Design Ball Valve Spanner, ¾” & 1" [90477] Tru Design Ball Valve Spanner, 1 ¼” & 1 ½” Size / Variant: Tru Design Ball Valve Spanner, 1 ¼” & 1 ½” [90478] Richard

Thanks Richard and a great start and I will have a look at the parts you have listed. I would think the 345 and 385 are most likely the same for the through hull fittings.
A bit of a daunting job but its got to be done! Atleat I have till Sept/Oct to research this. Cheers

Hi All I have had a chance to get onboard ARLOKO and with some relieve I found that Hanse had fitted plastic throw hull fitments. So atlease if you have a H385 later than hull #317 you should have plastic seacocks and some peace of mind.

hi I have TD seacocks on the head in and outlet and the galley waste. Very smooth operation and robust (physical size) in comparison to the bronze. Will be replacing the other older style inlets as they approach their use by dates. Can totally recommend for the mighty 385

Hi Brownemi,
Did you replace the through hull fittments yourself? And if so how difficult was the job. Although ARLOKO has pastic through hull fittings the ball valves are brass/copper so Im thinking of replacing these to plastic. Thanks

if the plastic truhull fittings are realy plastic (Hanse used Plastimo plastic in 2014 I believe)
Change then by Trudesign glass-reinforced composiet ones. It is a easy DIY job .Grind then away from outside just to the level of the hull and they will come out easily. Replace the valves by Trudesign and use Trudesign load bearing collars to reinforce the stuff.

Thanks Wild & Wet for the advice, I think the biggest challenge will be access from the inside to reconnect the Trudesign due to the confind spaces the seacocks are in.
Cheers
