We want to add a boom brake to the 455.   We really need a pad eye on the toe rail.  It would seem the toe rail has solid wood underneath it.   Do we have to through bolt it ?  Access on the Hanse or any boat is impossible where the toe rail is located

We replaced the pin for each lower shroud on our 415 with a big shackle (shackle pin fastens shroud).  Attached a block to the shackle on each side to lead the lines from the Dutchman boom brake back to the secondary winches.
