Hi all. I have to go up mast soon to check out ( and maybe replace) wind sensor. While there I want to change mast light bulb to a LED bulb. Does anyone know the type of bulb and wattage required? Thanks.

If you need a H320 electrical diagram or other Hanse related information, try All the (Hella?)nav lights have the same type of bulb. So for starters you can check a light closer to the deck for verification of the type of bulb. What you need is: "lantern bulb bay15d ø20x35mm 10-35vdc 1,8/20w white" Changing the anchor light will stand up to a cost/benefit calculation. The motor lantern though will only be used when the engine is running, so here a LED or non-LED bulb will not be so important.

Replacing the bulb will probably be fine, but we chose to replace the whole assembly with a sealed LED system. It was not very expensive and has worked great. Hopefully we will never have to replace it again, but it is a boat, so "never say never." Here is the link to the Hella Marine LED lamps we used.

Got the Aqua Signal type 34; 1:1 exchangeable with the AquaSignal base on a 2007 H350. This one is about E.220 in NL.
Agree with Cap. Cook w.r.t. the steaming light; motor is running so it makes no sense (Penny wise) to change this one for LED. Edited by coriolis2 - 05 February 2023 at 17:25 |

Thanks all. Haven’t had a chance to go up mast yet but might just go for the led bulb option.

Andy, w.r.t. navigation light; yars ago I installed a 3 color multi LED bulb in teh original housing. Two remarks:
1. The multi LED broke out of the lamp base including its fitting during a 6B wind against tide sail on the Ems estuary as it is rather heavy. 2. The combination of a (multi) LED with the standard lens results in a rather wide grey(ish) area between red and green, which I found rather disturbing and in fact is an offence. Regards, Rob

It would help if you put your boat model in your signature. I assume you still have a 350.
On my much older 341, I replaced the anchor light with BAY15d replacement 18smd LED bulb from Boatlamps in the UK Also buy the Contralube for use when fitting the bulb. They also do an automatic sensor bulb bas well.
