Hello
Have a 470e 2007, looking for the compass, I saw you had a hard time finfint it. Wher was it located in your boat🤔
Changing autopilot and putting in a Precision 9 compass.

Just use common sense.  The calibration can deal with less-than-perfect locations, but I know some folks who have it in a storage locker.   Far enough away from the engine or other large metal objects.    Then they decided to put spare water pumps and other heavy metal items in that locker.

It seems obvious, but you'd be surprised what people do.

Under the cabin table is an option chosen by some. central to the boat. However, when crew start stacking phones there, it can lead to a change of destination, which can be a nice surpriseBig smile- or not- as the case may beCry

On the later boats this seems to be located under the floor of the wardrobe in the aft port cabin.  The false floor in the wardrobe is lifted with the suction pad used for the other floorboard inspection panels.
