A technical bulletin exists (at least it should exists).
My 2011 Hanse 355 was delivered with the same earth cable.
During warranty works early 2012, without any demand from me, my dealer came aboard and opened the floor hatch to see if I had an earth cable connected.  He told me that he was ORDERED by Hanse to remove it after a notice from JEFA.
So since then I have no more earth cable connected to rudder shaft.

Is it possible to post the bulletin from HANSE or JEFA?
I have a 2012 325 that has this grounding cable.
I have checked a 2013 325 and a 2013 345 and they both have the same cable.
So either HANSE didnt know it then or they are slow to pass it to their production.
I wonder since the rudder is connected to the autopilot motor with metal rods and the motor is connected to the electrical system, what is the point of removing the grounding cable? Maybe the recall is for boats without autopilot.
Can someone confirm that the recall was for boats equipped with autopilot?

Google translate from Danish....
As for the grounding of your rudder strain, we strongly recommend you to remove it. The only increases the risk of corrosion in the rudder trunk.

My boat has autopilot...

Hi Fiona,

I'm very interested in autopilot install, as I would like to have one in my Hanse 350 this spring. So if you have more picture pls send 'm to me.
Hope the forum allows them to be sent to my mail account directly: hvanleeu@gmail.com.

One question: I see that the rudder feedback is between the rudder and the drive. Is there enough space?

Thanks a lot,
