Does anyone have to hand the depth offset in order to achieve 'actual depth of water' for a 2 metre keel ?

Thanks in advance

Did you measure from the waterline to the transducer to get 500mm ?

My boat went into the water before I had a chance to measure!

Hi Geoff,

I would suggest the transducer is 500mm below the waterline on a 345 but do not have one out of the water to measure for you sorry.

Kind regards

The best way to check the offset with the boat in the water is to measure the true depth using a string and weight (somewhere where it's not too deep) and compare to the depth meter reading. You can then adjust the offset to give the correct reading.

This eliminates any minor error in the measured offset or inaccuracies in the electronic's offset calculation.
