Today was an exciting day - handover day at Hamble Point on my 350 number 353 Selene, and my first sail with her. Temperature not typical for southern England even at this time of year at 0 / -5 Celsius Air and "Real Feel" but a lovely blue sky and F3 wind. Excuse me for indulging in some photos (and the bit of tape on the water line).

Nice, congratulations! Do you have more pictures of the closing of the open cockpit? Interesting, is this an option from Hanse or local dealer?

I am sure you will be happy as we are with our 350, it is a lovley boat...

Hi Bjoris,

It is a piece of 10mm perspex with two stainless steel runners either side for it to slot into.

Kind regards

Phil

As Siler and Bjoris both asked for photos of the Hanse UK fitted stern washboard system on my new 350 I have posted them under a different thread here:-

Hallo,
When i look to the photo from the new Hanse 350 , i wondered that the console for the steering weel is different than the new Hanse that i ordered on the Hanseboot in Hamburg. Maybe is was there a special offer with the  Simrad plotter.

Yes this is a special head for the steering column. I replaced on my 370 the standart plastic head with this one, made out of GRP bought from jefa, for my simrad plotter. works very well and looks nice. but it will be not ok if you have a traveller in your cockpit, as the compass is moved more to the front.
