Here you have some pictures of the new 505.. nobody have seen it yet.. dealers only so this is a "world premiere" for "MyHanse" :) I got plenty more pictures.. but a bit akward to upload here on the forum... and the limit of the image size is set a bit low..... let me know if there is anything special you want to see and I'll upload it. I had a good look at it inside/out and compared it to the 575. Super boat! |

All,
This 505 is moored at the wharf which Hanse use in Greifswald. The red coloured building in the back ground of the last photo is Wendel & Rados. The 505 looks great. I like the flower box on the bow. I didn't seee this option of the pricelist of the 575. The most obvious differnce with the 575 is there is no tender garage or the larger cockpit with twin tables etc. The below decks area of the 505 looks very good. The port side space which can be delivered as a twin bunk cabin, or a 3rd ensuite, or storage space or even as an office space should be winner with a lot of buyers. I notice this same space can now be configured as a storage space on the 575 as well. I am not sure of the starting price difference - does anyone know the starting price of the 505? It looks like the 505 should be another winner for Hanse.

I note that the show boat is fitted with in-mast furling!

Hi All I'm new to the forum, been following for a little while, I just paid my deposit on a new 505 before the early bird discount ran out, I've seen a few phone photos from the Dealer Conference, but would really love to see some more, as many as you have the better, it will just get me all the more excited, if that's possible :) cheers Peter PS Happy for you to email them to me if too hard to post here.

Peter,
Congrats on the 505 on order and welcome to the forum. It is good to see another Hanse coming downunder. Are you having a delivery in Oz or picking it up in Europe? Are you intending to take her cruising?

I think the starting price fo the 505 is e 229'000.-
What is this porthole on portside under the cockpit for?? - Look at the specs: The boat is 2 tons heavier than the 470 and the mast (no more fractional) is 2m less high. (22m) . I suppose she will be slower than the 470. - But I don't like the closed cockpit, it's like all the Bavarias now. -Why don't they offer the owner's bed on portside anymore? With the island bed you lose a lot of space on the sides. -Furling mast igit igit, terrible! Schmidl would kill you for that! Edited by tobo - 06 September 2013 at 18:27 |

Thanks, being delivered in Sydney in Feb/March, will keep it here & cruise/club race locally, I have children still at school so we will enjoy it with the family. Hoping to get the family involved as they have not been sailors before. Frankly I haven't sailed much for a long time, I crewed on a 2 tonner for 6 years back in the 80's, a lot of ocean races & campaigning. This is my first owned yacht. When do you take delivery of your 575? You obviously saw the 505 in person, there is a new 575 just delivered in Sydney and was shown at the Sydney Boat Show, it really is beautiful, is the fit out below as good on the 505 as the 575? Peter
