My heading compass is only working sporadically.

The problem is, I can’t find it! Where on a 2009 H320 would it be located?

Thanks

James

As no body has replied, I would suggest looking under the saloon table. It is great for when people put their phones there as you sail along & you wonder why your compass only works sparodically Thumbs Up
Not sure if that has happened on a Hanse though.

Hi James
We have a 2012 325, our compass is located in the cockpit storage locker under a wooden cover in the floor to the back of the locker.
Hope that helps.

thank you - 2 more places to go and investigate…

I’ve got the cockpit locker empty at the moment as I am replacing the heating element so will go for a crawl round.

In our case, the fluxgate compass is situated behind the engine in the empty space below the cockpit.
Note: the deviation is subject to what and where we load it in the big cockpit locker.

thank you everyone - eventually found it in Starboard locker under the seat in the saloon.

It was hidden by the mini hoover, and removing that (and the magnets in the motor) seems to have got the autopilot working again!!!

Hello everyone,
my problem with the heading compass is that it sometimes shows up to 30 degrees incorrectly.
Even taking a slow lap does not solve this problem.
Then for no reason the heading will be displayed correctly again for a while.
But nothing was moved to another place in the boat.
Many greetings
Tom

maybe a piece of equipment is being turned on or off that is nearby and interfering. The unit very sensitive so it could be small as a phone charger.
