Help with Zeus Autopilot please

   I have  a B&G Zeus Touch 7 and a Simrad autopilot on my new-to-me Hanse 345. I can get it to follow a route or go to a waypoint, but if I take it off auto "N" to dodge a buoy for example, i can't get it to resume the course. Experiments have proved dangerous with the boat trying to return to the start of the route.How should I resume the route
The Simrad pad 1 degree and 10 deg buttons don't work when following a waypoint/route - is this expected?
