Installing the Genoa 3 Track

for all those who are thinking about mounting a G 3 rail on the roof here are some pictures and some tips.
I did not have the courage to drill a hole in the roof.
Therefore I removed the cover of my Hanse built in 2005/6. It's a sh*t load of work, about a ton of screws, but it works.
There is a reinforcement made of aluminium exactly where it is marked on the plans. Since I wanted to have my rail even further forward, I extended it.
After that you can mount a 1m rail without any problems. In addition, I have installed an adjustment from the cockpit.

The pulley you see on the chaine is from the Geman Cupper System.

Hi,
Congratulations for this job
My new jib is a 105% and i'm very interested to install a system like this, but i don't understand the trajectory of the rope, and which winch to use
Is it needed to add a return pulley somewhere ?
Do you have more pictures with rope or jib in place ?
Thanks a lot

Hello sorry for the late notice.
Attached is a photo. The G3 sheet goes directly from the rail to the deflection to the winch.
Grey line.
The red/white line is the German Cupper System mainsheet.

Hi Alizee,

Thanks for your tips and pictures, did you remember the size of the extension you use for the reinforcement made of aluminium ?

Thanks

Hello Julien,

no, unfortunately not. But if you open the cover you can see what the original is like and then plan your extension accordingly if you want to do it like me

Ok thanks, on the plan pdf from hanse, they say that the original size is 750x60x10. I will look for the same size 60x10 and open it to confirm.

Best regards
