Dear friend of the forum I am the owner of a Hanse 411 year 2003, after a slight collision with a shallow rock I had the injury on the keel of iron at the threaded hole of the first prisoner of the bow, at the coupling the hull, some of you have had the same problem? The parts still available? You know the Price?

Hi,
I don't know if you have pictures of the damage on the keel. After grounding with mine boat som years ago the back part of the caststeelpart of the keel was broken. The whole keel was send to Poland for repear. The firm in Poland was the one Hanse used for making keels. You can maybe contact Hanse Germany.

Best regards ,

Erno

Hello Bruno55, sorry to hear about your rock incident.
I'm curious about your inquiry for "parts".  What parts are you looking for? keep bolts for the keel to hull mount? or...?   Have you had an experienced marine repair facility look at the damage? Quite often the hull requires some structural repairs.

Thanks friends, here are the pictures of the damage to the keel, after writing to hanse in Germany, the foundry Hacon in Poland and the designer judel / vrolijk & Co., no one was able to solve the problem, finally after the seller Italian has confirmed to me hanse 411 that many have had the same fault without any consequence I decided to fix a bolt and epoxy grout the piece of cast off.

Now I believe that a bolt of 24mm so great at that point is a design fault, probably the only oxide of iron is the cause of the break, in fact the first bolt is open and not closed as the other 10 bolts, however, as a builder hanse must provide the parts of a boat of only 13 years old, I think my next boat will not be a Hanse.

Dear forum friends,
I have a Hanse 411 - built in 2002/3. I have a very similar looking keel failure to Bruno55. I've been told that it cant be repaired so am looking at getting it re-cast. Does anyone know the weight of the cast iron section of a cast iron - lead keel - the draft is 1.98m.
Any help would be very much appreciated

Dear Thunderbird1 I am only now reading your message, I am Bruno55 owner of the hanse 411 the total weight of your keel is 3250 kg, unfortunately it is not specified how much the false cast iron keel weighs. How did you fix your 411's keel problem? Were you able to find the false cast iron keel?

we had our keel removed and split into two parts. The top part was sent to a foundry where they used it to create a new mould. We had the part that cracked made bigger to better accomadate the bolt a the front. It was then reattached. We have had no problems since.
