I did the same on my H 355 last year.  My fitting differs from Bjoris's one because it is set more aft than his.  I fit the pad eye just midway above the Hanse's optional mainsail track way.
Under Wichard folding pad eye, I fit an alu reinforcement plate (approx 6 mm thick).  Then I bolted (3 X M8) through with washers & nuts.  I didn't need any special GRP reinforcement.  Cockpit floor in this special area is sturdy enough.
Please note that midship line is surprisingly not above bulkhead GRP reinforcement molding in aft cabin ceiling but just aside form it (I don't have pictures of this).
I had sailed with this set for 18 months now without any problem or fear about it.  I'm 100 % confident about his fitting.  It is now far more easy to ease the mainsail in a blow when shorthanded.

I'm now planning to fit a removable mainsheet track (Barton Marine).  The pad eye will be use to attach a short strop down to a quick release pelican hook to take the load at mid ship (track will be 1 m long there).

Bruno, thank you for your reply. I am not sure how you fixed the fixed the pad eye to the cockpit floor, there doesn't seem to be any access under the floor to secure the pad eye bolts. Did you have to cut an access hole from the aft cabin or locker to get under the floor? Also what size seldom blocks did you use? I would appreciate any advice you could give me.

Actually I had to cut a small hole (approx 8 cm - 3") in aft cabin ceiling lining.  There's no other possibility.  This job was easy.  I have no picture of this.  I can take some when I get to the yacht but give me a few weeks (It's winter here).
Blocks are Selden PBB 60.  Size is good but It should a have use ball bearing blocks instead of plain bearing.

Bruno, thank you for your help, I was wondering if the under floor could be accessed by cutting a hole through the ceiling in the locker near the wall separating it from the aft cabin. Is there muck room between the ceiling and the floor to maybe fit a hand in.
Also how have you attached the block to the boom.

First let me wish you a happy New Year.

NO. You have to cut a hole in aft cabin ceiling.  In the locker the bulkhead is not located midship.
There's not much room between cabin ceiling and cockpit floor (approx 20 mm)
I'll try to take some photos one of the next weekends.

I have just done this conversion on my Hanse 370e. I haven't had the chance to test it on the water under sail yet, but pretty sure that the added mainsheet control will be a huge benefit. Sheet is going back to the aft port winch, but considering the option of running the sheet to both sides. 
I am also considering adding a soft removable purchase, which will allow to pull the mainsheet either to windward or leeward as a substitute for a real mainsheet traveller. Has anyone done something similar?
Load from the sheet is shared on two pad-eyes, since my longitudinal bulk head is in the center line. Mounting reinforced with 5mm stainless steel plates under the cockpit floor. 
The "thin" rope is a 8mm dynema rope.
