Just following up to say that plenty of WD40, plus some brute force and ignorance seemed to do the job.  Managed to get all the pins rotating again, which means the new blocks can align properly.

When you put the rope cover panels back on, make sure the screw holes into the cabin top are very well sealed. Otherwise you will be getting leaks into the cabin.

Was just going to use a squeeze of silicone sealant. That do the job?

No!
Sikaflex is a trade name and the are some significantly different products in their range. Read up on which one to use but if it was me I would use a butyl mastic probably in tape form to ensure the screws can be removed easily in the future without leaking while the screws are not disturbed. It works well on my covers.

The Lewmar replacement block is the 72 mm sycnchro.
