I sail my 505 mostly in the Med. One of the challenges there is the (so called) Med Mooring technique where you drop your anchor and then back your 505 to the quay. This is all fine when the wind is from the front or the back, but sidewind can be a bit of a challenge. As soon as you reach the quay (backing up) you need to put the windward line on a boulder ASAP. For this to work you need to be able to get off your 505 from the back without lowering the transom/swimming platform. The Hanse does (as many other modern yachts) have a bit of a problem there.
I wanted a simple solution that did not ruin the lines of the boat. See pictures for the solution.
If anybody is interested in the construction let me know.
