Hello,
I have Aqua Signal navigation  lights on the both sides of the bow pulpit in my Hanse 320 from 2010. Now the port side red light’s cable was worn and cut inside the pulpit tube where it goes in through a hole. Can anyone tell me the route of this electric cable and how to replace it? I spent quite a lot on time in searching it, without success. Grateful for any advice, thanks, Tapio.

Hi,
We had Aqua signal series 32 bow lights on our 325.
Both port and Stb lights failed after 10 years and if you read the technical information they recommend replacing red and green LED lights after 10 years.  Series 32 is not longer available so we have replaced then with series 34 which is quoted as having a longer shelf life.
To get to the cable we have a removable panel bow area in the forward cabin and once removed you can get access to the area under the anchor locker.  There are a bunch of cables here and the nav lights are connected to the boat cables with a waterproof crimp.

Good luck

Paul

Many thanks! Seems indeed that my lights belong to this 10 years life span… (which I find very short for safety equipment)…I hope I have the same panel in my boat, will check it in weekend. Best regards, Tapio

You're a lucky men.
I had to replace my fore navlights twice in 11 years and I juste replace the aft one...
Factory install is bullsh*t
Series 32-34 cables are so fin they cannot stand outside the pulpit without being damaged.
They are a nightmare to replace (you have to saw headlining, unplug the cable (only easy thing) , remove Sika in pulpit tubing up and down (very hard), route the new cable (if they are long enough ... and they're not), reconnect, re"Sika" the holes up & down, put back headlining and reglue it.

Thinks it's an half day job for each.

Aft nav light is even worst ta access

Hello again,
To finalise my story: the cable was found finally just under the pulpit stanchion and the hole had to be made between the hull and the anchor box on the “ceiling”. Luckily the new  lamp had a long cable that I managed to pull trough the pipe with iron wire and connect again. I try to attach a photo to explain. This was the port side, know now what to do when the starboard stops working. Thanks again for tips!
