Hi,
I have damaged a stanchion on my 301. Is there anyone out there who knows where I can get a replacement.

Regards,

Richard

Richard,
I believe that the stanchions are straight rather than cranked - if so most chandlers will sell them; they certainly had them in stock at Aladdins Cave last weekend which is quite useful if you live near Southampton/Hamble but not much help otherwise!
I did break and have to replace a cranked stanchion on my last boat - all that I needed was the correct length as specification - the rest was pretty standard apart from how much bend they had to put in for me.

Its a good job the stanchion gace way rather than damaging the toe rail.

good luck,
regards
Graham

Hi Richard,
Is the stanchion cracked or bent?.If bent take it to your local metal /welding company and they will roll it straight in a pipe bender.

Hi John and Graham,
Thanks for you rapid replies , I have yet to receive one from Hanse. I  managed to put quite a kink in the stanchion  towing another boat back to his mooring after he lost his engine. I don't think it will be possible to do a straightening job so I will try Aladdin's Cave as I think they will accept online orders.
Regards,
Richard

Hi,
No joy as yet, the chandlers keep asking for the make and Hanse have yet to reply. Anyone out there with a makers name.

Richard
