Dear Webmaster, don't you think we should start with a new category "Hanse 505". There is not really a lot to see at the moment on the Hanse website (if it runs!) but I wonder what people think about her.

Isnt she just an "facelifted" 495? The same hull and rig dimensions, maybe just a name change to 495/505?

Hi Folks,

We will try to get the 505 its own thread shortly.

The new 505 is the same, hull, keel and rig as the 495 but with a completely new deck and cockpit to bring it in line with the 575.  In fact it will be a scaled down version of the 575.

The interior is also changing to allow different layouts with a utility room or 3 ensuite cabins.  It will also have a higher quality interior (also the latest 445) with more solid wood cabinetry.

Selden rigs and B & G instruments will be standard fit from now forward too.

Kind regards

Phil

Hi Ken,

It would not be unusual for us to have installed 3 or more TV's in the larger models!

The utility room is actually a really good use of space with a bunk bed and space for washing machine.

It can be an office space if needed too.

Just covering all the bases.

Cheers

Phil

Is she going to be shown at Dusseldorf? My last check said no; what a pity!
