Overhaul Jefa steering column

   I want to do a major overhaul of my steering column. I need to do polyester repairs, rewire the displays  and the steering is making strange noises.
As I see from the Jefa site, it should be simple

Remove the wheel 
Remove the bolts from the foundation
Separate the polyester column from the aluminium mechanisme. (Tilting the  polyester cover)

Do maintenance and re-assamble.

Any tips and tricks?
