Looking for help with hatch dimensions for the 505. Alesea is on the hard in Greece and we’re not. We’ve found an interesting product whilst visiting the States, which we hope will help keep the boat and us a little cooler this season cruising the med. Does anyone have a file showing hatch dimensions, or know where I can source one? I’m mostly interested in the master cabin hatches, forward saloon, side opening saloon, top of the sliding cockpit hatch and the rear heads. OK, so that’s actually most of them!
Here’s the link to the hatch covers - they are a thin flat PVC cover that fits on top of our flush mounted hatches with a couple of surface mounted clips. So you can have your hatches ajar to catch some breeze, but still keep the sun out (we relied on our internal sunscreens this past season, but this obviously blocked any potential breeze).   http://outlandhatchcovers.com
Any help appreciated. Cheers, Kate

Hi i am pretty sure you have the Lewmar flush hatches right? if so largest size they do and likely your cabin top hatches is the size 70, its outer lenses are 697mm x 697mm, inner frame is 627mm x 627mm.

Thanks for your response Stephen. Yes, they are the Lewmar flush hatches. That would be the correct size for the storage hatch at the front, but the remaining hatches are all smaller. I’ve managed to piece some info together from the Lewmar site and the Hanse.boatoon site. Still on the lookout for the side opening galley/saloon hatches (the ones that take your lower shins out) and the rear heads. Would not be considering these if in NZ, but after one summer in the med we are learning that it’s easier to keep the boat cool at night if the heat doesn’t enter during the day.
Here are some pics of the hatch covers on a 455.
