Maybe of interest as I seem to remember someone asking about consumption for passage planning. 
Given these figures I’ll be taking a cautious estimate of 3+L/h. 

we have the 55hp Volvo and have just completed 18 hours of rough sea motoring from Bar to Corfu down the Albanian coast  averaging 7 knots. Consuption was exactly 3L/h. The rest of the time we were under sail. 
Didn’t make a note of the RPM  sorry. Conditions were heavy 3-4 m swell but no wind. 

Previous consumption at 5 knots average and pottering around mooring etc was 1.8L/h
