I just had my electrical system checked by my local contractor. They have a very good reputation. I had the following comments that concern me.

1. - "AC receptacles not in boxes per ABYC standards (factory original)."

Isn't the HANSE 370 vintage 2007 certified by ABYC?

2. - "There is a large amount of amateur wiring on the vessel
including improper materials, poorly terminated connectors,
over-sized ring terminals, exposed conductors, unsupported wiring."

My electrical upgrades were performed by 2 well respected contractors in my local area. Upgrades over the past 12 years included new 110 amp electrical, Radar, Volt/Current monitor, standard commissioning additions for a new boat, bow thruster, etc.  Everything has worked well over the 12 years I had the boat. Should I be concerned with the quality of this work from 2 respected contractors.

Have to agree with your surveyor of all the boats i have owned over the years i think Hanse are worst wired. The cable runs are not tidy and uniform and yes some DC cables have long runs with no retaining clips but the AC side is better. Plugs for joining AC cable runs are basic but work. Worst of the lot is that the wires used throughout the boat are commercial copper wire not marine grade tinned wire as it should be so connections can corrode quickly if damp, wet or in moisture.

All that said i have never heard of a Hanse catching, fire, people being electrocuted etc so i think the risk to you is very low. Assuming you have the boat tested regularly as part of your local AC electrical certification requirements then you should be fine.
