Hi - Anybody know why the latest 418's seem to be coming with a padeye behind the self tacking jib track? I'm intrigued? Mine doesn't have one and I can't think why, other than stubbing your toe, you would want one? (sorry picture isn't very clear as it's lifted from the Hanse video online)

1) Attach a block and pull the slide of the self tacker inward for closer sheeting, micht give you a few more degress to windward

2) Attach a block and adjust the gennaker profile when going downhill

My 2ct speculation

There is one on either side of the mast. I use the stbd one for securing the spinnaker halyard.

No clue though, if this was the original idea behind these padeyes.
