I noticed that my Dc panel in the F2 slot is listed as deck wash pump.  My boat doesn't have that option and was thinking of installing one.  Can someone tell me where the water pump is located and the thru-hull fitting? Where does the hose exit on the foredeck? What does the deck connection look like? Any photos would be helpful of the installation.

The deck wash pump is located in the bow locker along with the thru hull and valve. From there it goes straight up to a deck fitting. There is a quick release hose fitting there.  The pump is pressure activated, similar to your fresh water pump, and only runs when there is a demand for water. The DC wires are likely run already by Hanse.  I can say that it a very useful option and an easy install.  Good Luck!

Can you post images of each part:  deck fitting, pump installation, through hull location.   Dont want to reinvent the wheel if possible.

Can I confirm that this uses sea water?  I see that being useful to wash down the anchor although maybe not the deck in the Med given the high salinity.

Stuart,

Yep, seawater from a through hull in the bow/sail locker. More of an anchor wash rather than deck wash as you say. Can also be used as a bilge pump for that space by turning off the through hull, disconnecting the hose and putting the hose end in the bilge.
