We actually almost never use the shower on our 388 due to it’s small size and the efforts it takes to clean up and dry the small compartment and all the Little corners and niches After finishing showering.

Has any of you developed any tricks and ideas in Order to make it easier to use the room for showering frequently?

Silly question, Maybe, but I just dont like the idea of swiping the entire cabin for 10 Minutes After a 3 min shower.

PS: Buying a bigger boat is Not an Option 😉

We used the 385 shower every day as liveaboards.  When warm enough we might use the stern shower but found the heads shower very usable.  It is frustrating that in order to get sufficient headroom, Hanse designed this with a slope away from the shower drain, something carried forward from the 370.
We would usually shower one after the other and so only the last person needs to wipe down.  Not sure if the ladies aboard your boat have long hair but my partner takes far longer than 3 minutes on hair wash days!  🤣
Of course I have no hair so I'm in and out quickly.

We use a squeegee to start then an absorbent cloth to wipe down.  Leave the window and door open to air.

I know what you mean by nooks and crannies, but always felt this was a good way to keep the toilet clean too.

Far better than the very dubious faculties at most marinas, although these days we are mostly at anchor.

Not familiar with the shower on the 388 but I’d imagine it’s similar to the 418. Agree, it could be better. A Bavaria of similar size we looked at had a fully separate shower but my partner uses ours all the time and she finds it fine. Actually we don’t mind the fact that you have to wipe it down afterwards as it gives the heads compartment a really decent clean. My main gripe is that fibreglass sole board is so large and heavy to lift if you want to clean under it. Ideally I’d like to divide it in half preferably with a teak grating but haven’t figured out how yet

We also shower in a row. Last one cleans the head floor and wipe down the walls.

In my 370 the drain has no problems draining the floor. I have a 3 cabin version and the only times I notice a slight lift to port is when all the sodas/beers have gone and the diesel tank is 1/2-1/3 empty.

We use our 388 shower every day when we sail.
We installed an IKEA suction cup holder so the shower head can hang in the cieling.
it takes me 3-4 minutes to swipe everything over with a designated towel, and that is acceptable to me. I dry whilst doing it, and yes.... it is always me doing it :-)

The only problem i have with it, is that the door is starting to swell at the bottom, so Hanse should improve the cardboard quality they use now. Thats needs fixing on my boat soon.

Hidden somewhere in this forum is a description of the 'Rolls Royce' solution where someone completely re-floored the head so the water drains properly.  I shower onboard daily and, like Stuart above, prefer it to many marina facilities taking the opportunity to clean the toilet as well.  A wipe-around with a large microfibre quickly dries the surfaces and I then just leave the door & hatches open.  A removable mould-proof lattice means the deck can immediately be walked on without mess.  If necessary and if needing to dry clothing etc, I put the dehumidifier in the Head powered by shore-power or AC battery (which can also heat the water away from shore power).

We are on board for several months each year and use the shower a lot. Quick to clean with small window cleaners squeegee.

The 418 heads has a lifting floor to drain plug hole, best advice is to add a mesh sink filter to capture any long hairs! Could save your shower drain pump. About 3 euros from Amazon Tongue
