After discovering nasty black solids in both the water filler line and the tank vent line I start investigating why this was happening. What I discovered was that both pipes dropped away from the tank fitting before rising up to the inlet and outlet. This winter I removed the wardrobe on the Port side in the forecabin in order to replace the pipes. The wardrobe removal requires the screws to be taken out (check you have got them all out), the sealant along the bottom needs to be cut, the door to the saloon removing. To get the wardrobe past the door frame you need to ease it away with a large flat blade like a large scraper inserted so it slides out past the frame. The top stays in place when the wardrobe is removed. With the pipes now accessible they can be re-run with a steady downward slope to the tank. I had to cut a new slot for the filler pipe at the back of the moulding and have supported the pipes to maintain the slope. Hopefully the pictures help explain! I have circled the original holes on the left and the new holes with the pipes running through them. The line of the filler pipe under the moulding is the dotted red line.
