Hello, I would like to change my steerable triple propeller to a fixed triple propeller.

I have a sail-drive sd 50, the doubt arises from the fact that on the operating manual of the s-drive there is only the assembly of a fixed two-bladed blade.

Is it possible to mount a fixed three-blade?

Has anyone in the forum mounted this type of propeller ?

Our 508 came with a fixed two blade propeller and we changed it to a three blade.

Dont see any problem doing so. Of course you have to install an equivalent performance propeller.

My 400 with Yanmar SD50 has a 3-blade Flex-O-Fold 17X14,3.

Another 400E has once stated here, that a 18x12 gives him 8 knots at full throttle (3000 RPM).

1) You need to take off the propeller to see the markings: 18+2 = 18x12
