My Lewmar H3 windlass stopped working so I partially opened up the case to expose the contactor. From the photo, you can see that one of the leads is broken off of the contactor. The contactor appears to be fastened to the gear mechanism with some sort of band which is circled in the photo.  Does anybody know if the contactor can be removed and replaced without dismantling the windlass? I think I can remove and reconnect the wiring but don't know how to do that to the band without fully opening the case etc. |
