I found out this weekend that the usable capacity of my 371's fuel tank is only 67 litres.

Yes...I found out the hard way...motoring in flat water with very little wind, the engine stopped. We had spent the day before motoring into a strong tide, and I obviously underestimated the effect this had on fuel consumption. I generally use 2 litres/hour for calculation of range and find that to be conservative...but not now. Also, I normally carry a 20ltr can of fuel as backup - but as dictated by Sod's Law, it was emptied and not refilled due to it almost being the end of the season.
No harm done luckily, we were on an inland lake and traffic was quiet. We anchored out of the way before sending a crew member to shore with the tender to fetch a full jerrycan of diesel.

The 371 specsheet, and the label on the actual fuel tank, says 80 litres. I understand that the full volume is never available, but would have expected the usable volume to be more than 85%.

This is mainly as a heads-up to other 371-owners, so they need not make the same mistake!
