Hi Everyone
I am getting a sprayhood/ dodger made for my H348 and want to dtermine the height the top of the sprayhood/ dodger should be off the cockpit floor.

If heigher then you would look through the sprayhood windows while standing at the helm. Also if you go too heigh the boom could hit the to when tightening the vang.

If lower then you would look over the sprayhood while standing at the helm but when sitting you would look through the sprayhood windows.

The manufactuter is suggesting 68 inches heigh I am 69 inches high so my eye height is 64 inches.

Thoughts on going with the 68 inches or lowering to 63 inches ?

Hi
Don’t forget when you are going in or out of your boat that extra inch is bending your back more or less
If I may suggest
Get it as recommended and lay down the sprahood during those times it’s critical (sailing competitions)
Think about how that inches effect every time climbing in or out of your cabin

Regards jonas
