To any 588 owners out there. Does anyone have a diagram of the hoses that run from the water pump to all the fixtures and from the hot water heater to all the fixtures.
Most of them run inside the floor grid and are invisible except where they exit to the fixtures. I have a leak somewhere in there (about a gallon a day), and need to figure out where it is  and how to get to it. I question the wisdom of hiding all the hoses and many “T” connections inside the grid !!

I have the 575 diagram, but I suspect its wildly different given the differences in interior.

That's frustrating.  In trying to respond, I realize I don't have one either!  I did have a similar-rate leak when I bought the boat.  Focusing on the "find the leak" part of your post, this is what I did:
  1. Turned off the freshwater pump
  2. Made a small adapter hose from the city water inlet in the cockpit to a 5-gallon air compressor with the output regulated to 50psi.  I had a small ball valve in-line in the hose.
  3. Once the compressor was charged, I quickly opened the ball valve and listened for the hiss.  My gallon/day leak was misting and not easily observable even in a dry compartment.  But it was quite audible.
Yes -- a pain to empty the water system, particularly if you can't isolate/bypass the water heater and accumulator.  But, you may want to empty the system anyways for the "fix the leak" phase.

I hope it is in an easy to fix location!

Thx Jon. Good idea !  I’ll try it. Just curious what your leak turned out to be and where was it ?

The checkvalve for the city water inlet.

The previous owner didn't empty the freshwater system that winter and it managed to freeze for a few consecutive days in VA that year.  While the interior of the boat was warm enough to avoid a freeze because it was in the water, the starboard aft quarter was left cold.  The checkvalve holds a bit of water and it couldn't take the expansion from freezing.  Weird thing -- it didn't start leaking until late spring!  Pump would cycle about every 10-15 minutes to rebuild the lost pressure from the leak.

Since then, I use that adapter hose to blow out the water system before winter and use a cabin heater & and engine bay heater during winter.  I've also added an accumulator to the cold system (excellent!) and a hot water expansion tank to the hot system to avoid the hot water expansion problem.
