Hello all, Yesterday, we completed a 3.5 day passage with conditions at the limits of code zero. This meant, we had stronger winds (up to TWS&AWS 15 knts), and we used our code zero roughly for 50 hours with breaks in between. This, together with the lack of 2:1 purchase system, created extreme chafe on the halyard. Luckily we arrived before the sail came down. I wanted to share this to warn people if they have the same setup, and also ask for practical solution ideas. I am not sure if Hanse, the dealer or some third party mounted it this way (we bought the boat second hand), but someone took a shortcut, and now converting it to a 2:1 will mean taking the mast down (due to the installation of the dead end bracket from Selden). Now the question is, what can I do to improve the situation until we are at home to take the mast down? Ideas are welcomed. Many thanks!   |

| Bonjour,j'ai mis une drisse double tresse dynemask78 pré étiré à chaud et ensimée avec une gaine e technora/dynema/polyester Dia 10 et une surgaine dynema de 1m. Cela fait 7 ans que ça tient sans problème |
