Hi. May be an obvious question but my dealer says he doesn't know anything about Sentinel and its.like pulling teeth.
I didn't get the Sentinel option but have heard all.manuals can be accessed through the app.  I tried to set up an account but I either need a Sentinel device serial.number, or some registration by my dealer.
Do non-sentinel hardware owners actually have access to info through the app?
How would I get this?
Thanks

I am not expert but here is my experience
I have Sentinel with a 2 year sub from Hanse that is about to expire. renewal is EU200 per year for basic or EU400 for a better support. I plan to convert to B&G and Victron monitoring that I also have. Sentinel is a device so you would probably need that.
Sentinel monitors:
Location- geofence
Bilge pump
Shore Power
Trip logs
all engine and wind data
anchor alarm
manuals available subject to cell service

It does all that but the cost is high as the same data is available off B&G and Victron.
I will probably not renew at this cost- then I will regret it of course.

This is not a rehearsal. Go for it. Kiakaha

To use a Sentinel service you must have the unit installed. It was to be ordered separately but I have heard Hanse stopped offering it this year (don't quote me, I am not sure LOL )

You need to install an app, registration is done via dealer, afaik. You also get 30 days of trial since the first activation, and must buy a subscription afterwards.

Thanks.   Thought it would be good for online manual access.
Not worth the heavy subscription cost.

Regardless if you got Sentinel or not, Hanse provides every new owner with a small USB where you will find all e-copies of the manuals. You can copy its content to your favorite cloud and have instant access anywhere.
