We are considering a new 315 so it is great to hear so many enthusiastic comments from other owners on the forum. We currently sail a 2006 315 so we are familiar with the Hanse brand but unfortunately the dealer doesn't have a new 315 model for us to look over at the moment. We are based on the River Hamble UK so if anyone in the area would be kind enough to show us their boat we'd be extremely grateful.

Sorry, I've just picked this up. My 2023 315 is based in Bucklers Hard. You'd be welcome to come and look around

The main thing is that you have had a chance to see the newer model. I've been really pleased with her over the last 2 1/2 years!

I am on a new 315 right now - I sail it on a week's charter in the Baltic with 2 friends.( At home in the uk I sail an "0ld" 312).

In my view the new 315 is a very nice boat in many respects excepting one - I think - major design fault: the step up from the kitchen area to the lounge area wich is raised from the kitchen area by 15 cm.

My two friends are a bit taller than me and cannot stand straight in the main cabin. And we all have to be very careful and avoid stumbling when going into the saloon, especially careful because there is only a very slight change of the floor colours.

Does anybody know the reason why the boat was designed this way???
