Hi all,
Yesterday during our sailing trip from Brighton to Cowes, suddenly a part of the oven door fell off. It appears the outside part of the door is glass and glued to the steel door frame.
Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you go about a fix/replacement?
Thx!
Here I’m holding the part that fell off:

Here the remaining oven door:

Henk,

We had exactly the same problem on our 418 with glass coming away from oven door.

We fixed it with some sealant found on amazon you use on car gaskets that is suitable for very high temperatures. Just glued it back in place with this and used blue masking tape to hold in place until sets.

Worked well and better than when new!

Hi Jon,

Thx for the response. I’ll first contact Eno. Probably glueing it back myself is the way to go.

Do you know what brand/type you used?

Henk

Henk,

The adhesive I used was by Technicqll High Temp Silicone in black, supposed to be good up to 300C!! I only used part of a tube so thought I could post you the tube but it's gone hard! Its £7 on Amazon.

Worked really well for us.

Hope your cruise is going well and you enjoyed Cowes and Solent.

Best wishes.
