Hi
Recently I bought a Hanse 312 from 2004 with lifting keel in great condition.
Is there anyone I can share experience with re drying out on the keel (and perhaps other items)?
Thanks JJ

JJ,
We have had a Hanse 312 with lifting keel for several years.  The boat can dry out and the boat will stay supported upright on the keel stub (in keel raised position) and the twin rudders.  I don't believe it is recommended to support the boat on the rudders for extended periods. Whilst on a hard standing in the winter, the boat is stored with sleepers/ or wooden chocks under the keel stub, supporting and tied blocks on each side of the hull and some poled support fore and aft.  We take the weight off the rudders under this arrangement.  At launch, we intend to hold the boat in the cradle sling overnight allowing us to drop and antifoul the keel.
Regards,
John
