Looking for input, if you please, regarding the lighting control boxes inside the electrical cabinet at the chart table. I was told from the factory that the new one, which is also on the Boatoon website, is the TEV1173 model. I was told , perhaps erroneously, that all I needed was one lighting control box. However, I have 2 such boxes inside my electrical cabinet that controlled the lighting for the salon and the cabins. The new TEV1173 circuit board is almost identically the same size as the older control boxes. Curious if anyone has any experience with the need to change these lighting control boxes? And if so, if only one is needed or 2, which was what was installed, in my case. Thank you. P.S. The need to change these lighting control boxes stemmed from a lightning strike and subsequent flickering or intermittent lighting, after professional analysis.

Depending on the model you may have one or two. On my 588, one controls the main salon and the other controls the master cabin. Both located in the same place. I had to replace one several years ago under warranty.
