Hi everyone, any tips on tightening the stanchions? They are loosening along the port side especially as foiler line blocks are attached there. Thanks Andrew, Atomic Blonde Fremantle Sailing Club

If they're same as 445/455 (probably from same parts bin?), the stanchion sleeves over a bolt-like base with a nut below deck. You need to find the nuts which are often hidden behind furniture and decor.  Hi, on Night Train the stanchions slotted over metal studs that are screwed into threaded pockets in the toe rail. No access from below required. You should see a the nut of a small locking bolt near the bottom of the stanchion. Undo or loosen this and the stanchion should slide up.

| 458s dont have acccess underneath of those bases but stanchions are fixed by a small allen screw to that base which sometimes gets loose. |

Apologies, correcting my previous post! Our stanchions are as described by others, "... stanchions slotted over metal studs that are screwed into threaded pockets in the toe rail.". The threaded pocket is aluminium and furling line twisting the stanchion has stripped the pocket thread. Only way to secure it was to find the stud rear then add M12 washer and nut. It was me who fitted the nut! [was a long time ago!].
