Hello,

I want to build in a windlass into my Hanse 411.

Can anyone recommend a windlass and how to best build in?

Thanks in advance,

Michiel

Michiel,

what i could do is take a photo of my anchor well which has a standard Hanse installation inc a Lewmar windlass.
But it will mean for you glassing in a marine ply table/shelf on which is bolted the windlass.
Good news is that on our model, the chain alignment to davit is straight !

Stephen,

That would be great. What type of Lewmar windlass do you have?

Michiel,

The windlass is
Lewmar 1000H Pro Series

You'll have to check that you have preinstalled wiring cables running back to battery bank?

Besides the photos, i'll have to take the necessary measurements where Hanse have set the shelf, for you to replicate the installation.

keep you updated

Stephen,

Thanks for the update.

I am glad that the wiring is already there. That saves a lot of time and hassle.

Cheers,

Michiel

Michiel,
i've now got some pics of windlass installation by Hanse,  windlass is Lewmar pro series 1000watt.

the shelf is made of marine ply 25mm and glassed in to hull.
