OK, I'll crack first...

Would Peter or Dominic like to tell us some more about the New 315 as advertised in the magazine(s) this month?

Most of you will remember that 2 years ago the interior of the Hanse 311 was radically changed. In the UK we decided to call the upgraded model the Hanse 315 and marketed it as this for a whole year. Surprisingly, the Hanse Yard decided not to rename the boat and it remained a Hanse 311 in the rest of the world.

A year ago they made some minor changes to the boat and decided that it would now be called the Hanse 312 worldwide - confused so far!

For the 2006 model year there are a few further changes planned for the interior and the yard has decided to call the boat the Hanse 315. We do not know yet what these changes will be. However, we do know that the hull and rig etc. will not be changed. We are hoping to have a 315 at Southampton Boat Show if it is ready in time.

Hello,

Maths required 311 + 311 = 315

                    311+315 = 312

                     311+312= 315

Any one kow the tides for dover this week ?

Simon.

I think you made a mistake in the third line of your maths. It should read:

               311+315+312=315

Alan

I have a Hanse which according to the documentaion is a 315 but the stickers on the hull say 311.

I am a bit fed up because I felt it was like buying a vauxhall "vectra" and having "cavalier" stickers on it. ( Not that I would buy a vauxhall but you get the point!!)

May be if you get a garry boy 4" exhaust it would be move like a vectra.

Could be worse you may have had bav**ia sticker on side.

Hello !
I have today been onboard the new Hanse 315 (boat No.1).
It is on display in Finland, at the Helsinki Boat-Afloat Show.

It looks alot like the 312, except that the stern is a walk-through stern, like on the bigger Hanses.

Also the arrangement in the front cabin is new, it has one long bed and one short bed and a cabinet. The short bed can be shortened even further, and then you have a chair beside the long bed instead.

It has a place in the bow for a gennaker pole, beside the anchor roll.

Possibly the 315 has more standard euipment. Maybe some pressure from Bavaria30

That's a good description. We saw the boat in Germany one day before it sailed off to Helsinki. We will be publishing more information on our site in the next few days and of course we will be exhibiting a new 315 at Southampton Boat Show

Looks stunning! And so too see the place to put the name is a standard? The piccies show from the new 370 and 400 show us names than have been placed on the same spot! Looks good.

According to specs, on www.hanseyachts.de, the 315 has a LWL of 8.30, while 312 has a LWL of 8.07. The info from our dealer in Finnland
states that the hull mould are the same for  312 and 315.

So whats the true story ? Is the bow sharper on the 315 ?

Sorry would not go for the open transom !!!

Nowhere to put the Aeries wind vane

More than happy with layout on my existing Hanse but a marginally bigger chart table to take my Yoeman plotter would help!!

The cockpit looks nice but, what about the tiller version.

And I think it have lost a lot of space in the forward cabin

As far as I found out you still have the option with the regular forward cabin.
The new stern is quite nice however I would still prefer my 312 stern because of more locker-room for bumpers etc. I also have a tiller steering which will be difficult for the new stern.

I found somewhere on the net that the new 315 has no edges at the salon tabel which also looks nice but with the (big) disadvantage that everythings might fall from the table if you go by engine. I hope that the table is now more stable.

Afterall I'm not worrying about the value of my boat because of the new version!

Regards Thomas.

I just received info from Germany, the ship is cheaper than the 312, from EUR 56.850 ex vat (311 was EUR 58.670 ex vat).

An 11 metre tiller on a ship witch measures 9,5 metres???

Has anyone looked at UK Hanse dealer site recently. Never mind that the 312 is now not on the new boats section, also there is no 315. Confused? you bet!
