Has anyone installed a water maker on their 411? We are considering doing so before heading to cruise in Turkey and Greece. If you have one where have you put it and what make did you buy? We already have additional water tank, fuel tank and holding tank so running out of possible places! We like the sound of the Schenker brand has anyone got one of these? Hope to here from some one soon about the above. Jacky Black

G'Day Jackie,,
Just in the process of fitting a Spectra Ventura 150 unit to our H411 on the Sunshine Coast Australia. The boat is built to European specs (has a heater and no extra water storage).
I am fitting it in the port aft cabin under the bunk. The unit is modularised and fits in the forward end of the outboard void space under the bunk. There is also space for a couple of components in the centre void.
The big attraction with the Spectra is the power usage - of all the brands I researched it has the lowest power consumption - 9 Amps. It also comes with a thing called a "Z-Brane", which provides power (100ma) to the membranes and keeps them clean, avoiding the need to use chemicals to pickle it.
We don't have any additional water storage - because the unit is a manual one, you always need to test the water before directing it to the tank anyway.
Happy to share any other information/discuss any issues,
R's
Chris
