Does anyone hold drawings on where all reinforcements, incl. the aluminium plates, are in the deckmold on the Hanse 320?

The guys at the yard in Germany does not seem to give any support to my dealer in Norway on this matter... Thumbs%20Down

i read a thread on here about using a detector that you can get from any hardware shop for detecting copper pipes or electrical cables through walls. Apparently this does the job

Well - that would actually work!

But why doesn't the yard have drawings for their boats?
I am still missing a pipe-layout drawing for the plumbing. There is no documentation for the Simnet network, and the electrical drawings was received by e-mail...

There should also be something a "webbing index" (the best translation I was able to find...) for the crane operator, when lifting the boat to/from the water..... ? Embarrassed

If you mean the lifting points for hoisting the boat, then i will take some photos of my boat. my yard hoisted the boat a couple of months ago and placed stickers at the relevant points. It is a little tricky though as the front sling is placed very near the transducer and the rear one close to the drive leg.
As for the simnet network; it doesnt really matter as you can plug the components in anywhere. What i will tell you in that on my boat there are spare ports on a four way simnet adapter in two places. The first is to the left side of the opening in the hatch at the rear of the port locker. The second is behind the switch panel. I had to find this all myself as the marine installation service in the boatyard where Hanse are based in the UK refused to help me as I didnt buy my autopilot from them.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot - this is very helpful indeed!

Last summer I had the boat on a slip with a trolley that slides into the water on steel rails. The weight of the boat is only at the keel, but there are four supports in place to keep the boat in balance - on the keel.

This worked out great, but for later use (or for a potentially 2nd owner) it would come in handy to have this kind of information - and it should definitly be a standard document provided in the "sh*t bag" keeping all the documentation for the boat. (Mostly limitied warranty information, though...) Clap

I have now received drawings, showing the deck reinforcements on the H320.

An interesting diagram that makes me curious.....

If you have a cabin mounted main sheet then it appears to have two reinforcement plates (14 on the diagram) for the blocks.

If you have a cockpit mounted mainsheet traveller then it has reinforcement (05).

But the standard boat we have ordered just has the mainsheet blobk attached to the floor in the centre of the cockpit. But the diagram doesn't show any re-inforcement point there..

Is that correct / safe?

I've asked myself the same question, as I have not seen any 320's with the mainsheet on the cabin roof.

On my boat I orderred a mainsheet traveller; but Hanse has mounted some wooden plate reinforcements on the "inside" of the boat as well. (They are visible from the aft cabin, and the storage compartement.)

I'm thinking about the same solution for my padeye holding the rear-end of the Genaker bowsprit (which might also te be used as a downhaul in the future); through going bolts, loads of sika - and a white painted wooden plate on the inside... Any comments, ideas? Sleepy

I have contacted the efficient and helpful dealer we have here in Sydney.
They have confirmed that the main sheet block has its own backing plate under the cockpit floor and not an embedded plate. This is obviously a much stronger and more satisfactory solution.

Hi shaukaas

Do you by any chance still have the 320 deck reinforcement diagram? The link provided does not work any longer.

Cheers,
Matias

Not all are true. E.g. the traveller plates are not on every 320. But this gives a good overview and with a metal detector you can check your hull.

I had garhauer traveler which I removed and very happy now. I still have it in my house. I can sell it because I have no plans using it.

It is almost 6ft long and fits on top of the seats in front of the wheel.
