Does somebody have experience with a 105% jib on a 350? I'm thinking about a new main (3-rad ACL-PEN) and maybe a extra jib. Are the excisting rails close enough to the boat's centreline?

Regards, Rob

Yes, I have what Granseil says is 108%. I need to have the sheets between the uper and lower scroud. Not a good solutions, it works best on a close reach. A bit more down wind in strong winds you really need to have them outside the uper scroud to avoid heavy presure on the scroud and ofcours the sheets does not last long. It conditions like this we have until now use the 2. sheets for the gennaker, which we use when we us a spinnakerboom on the gennaker, then you need two sheets at the same time.

I am sure it would have been better with a new rail on the roof. I am very happy with the performance, we have done a lot better in races after we got this sail. We dont have a bigger genoa as you.

Here you can see our 350 with a 108% jib from Gransail:) It works very well and the performance compared to the selftacker is just incredible...

Bjoris, thanks, nice video! Just ordered a new main and HA jib of CAL-Pentex by Gaastra Sails (previously sold by Momentum). Decided to go for the HA instead of > 100% to keep the selftacking capability as we often have a lot of tacking on the narrow Eems estuary. Think that the biggest performance killer is the quality of the standard North set. With > 10 knots I can not get/keep these sails in the right shape. The Custonm Axis Laminate sails are produced at the China Sail Factory (CFS) and you can either choose for Pentex, Tecnora (black) or Vectran (yellowish).
The boat itself is fast, as I experienced during our last local (doublehanded) race with <10knots wind and our 142% ACL Pentex Genua. We've stared 36th of 39 and finished 3rd (rating not included) only had to coop with an Elan 40 and a Fingulf 37E in front of us.

So, the standard jib and main are for sale.....

Regards, Rob
