Hi everyone

I have recently ordered a Hanse 495 to replace a 430e. I am writing from Australia, and I'm very interested in reading the impressions of anyone who has seen and been aboard the 495on display in Dusseldorf. All I have read so far is very positive, but since there are none available to see outside Europe as yet, I have no real idea what I'm ge tting into!!!

By the way, in Australia we have none of the problems I read about, regarding poor after sale service that seems to be an issue in parts of Europe. I think it makes it much easier when buying a boat because I am totally confident that any problems will be sorted out efficiently and with good grace.

I was in Dusseldorf boat show and made some interesting pictures!!!

The boat is amazing!!!!! I own a Hanse 400n the difference is amazing!!!

I too have ordered a 495 but after visiting the factory and asking around with an open mind - I firmly believe that you adopt the filosophy that Hanse concentrate on building fast, refreshingly modern production line boats at a fair price and quality - ask no more of them, take what the factory gives you and sail away to an enthusiastic appointed agent or specialist to get the detailed modifications and extras fitted.

I was at Dusseldorf and the 495 made competitors offers look dated, expensive and a bit 'old school' dull. It was an easy choice to sign up.
