After seeing a post somewhere else on the site, I am going to post some pictures of modifications I have carried out to my 320. I would like to ask other 320 owners to post similar photos, as I have learnt many useful ways of adding to an already fantastic boat

The first shows the splashback made from reinforced glass and glass shelf fastenings bought off ebay for £2.
One shows the stowage for the sink lid which has an emergency bottle opener as well as a snap shackle to hold the coffee machine while under sail.
The third has the custom fridge baskets I had made to give another level to the fridge stowage.
The final one shows the other side of the saloon with the position of the LED tv we put in, as well as the other bits we added.

Lovely pics Nick. I'll try to post some later. Our sink top is stored under the cooker. I have put a mesh shelf in the coolbox, but I love your idea. Did someone locally make them?

www.hamsterbaskets.co.uk. I sent them the measurements and they made them and sent them back in under a week . Cost 2 years ago was about £20.

Nice pics! But where do get the power from on the starboard side? For the coffee machine... Isn“t the only power socket on the port side?

Hey Sondre,
We have 3 240v outlets on our boat. One at the nav station, one in the cupboard in the heads and the third next to the sink in the galley. We take the power from our galley power point.

Nice! Have you added them yourself, or is it the standard ones? Its only one outlet on my 320 Smartline :-(

They were all factory fitted by Hanse.Although, it would not be difficult to run a spur off the existing 240v outlet, under the chart table, through the engine bay and back into the galley.

Great pictures! Smile

I'm trying to get the hold of some curtains, like yours. Oceanair I suppose?

- Doing some measures of my window frames; there does not seem to be any default sizes that actually fits? Do you have any more information?

I love your TV-set, it looks like dream! But I usually end up in this corner after dinner, and I'm looking for an alternative location for a TV-set. But with the iPad2 in order, we may just drop the TV. Anyone else with any alternatives?

I'm also looking for a neat solution for my 7 month old daughter to be kept safe aboard; sleeping in the front cabin and in the cockpit. Any pictures, anyone?

Shaukaas,
The blinds are indeed oceanair. They were fitted by Hanse but I think a standard size will fit. The concetina design means that when the blinds are down one size stretches a little more than the other which looks fine.

As for the TV, it is LED which means that it is only 10mm thick. It sits almost flush to the wall and means that you can sit in that corner without banging your head on it. Other places we considered, were the other side of the bulkhead on the starboard side. I have also seen one Hanse with the TV placed on the port side shelf between the lockers. They removed the metal bar and had the television there. It looked good, but obviously covered the window.

As for the baskets. Ive looked back through my e mails and found that I eventually faxed them a picture of what I wanted. I will however post the last mail I sent which has most of the measurements .

"I would like closed corners and the overhang would be best at 13mm.
Regarding the size of the basket, the critical measurement is the 320mm
side. Regarding the 200mm and the 60mm. Within +/- 5mm is fine."

Hope this helps.

Hi nickfabbri,

I would like to have some baskets made like yours. Could you please publish the measurements and any other instructions sent to the fabricators?

John

Dear John,
I have already placed the measurements I mailed to the company earlier in the thread. Unfortunately the final order was placed by fax and I dont have the details. it would seem as if i ordered 2 baskets that were specified at being 320mm in length. This included a 13mm lip at both ends. The width was 200mm to allow 2 baskets to be placed side by side and the depth was specified at 60mm.
The site as well as the company are really helpful from my recollection.
Kind regards
