There is an interesting  article in the June issue of the UK "Yachting Monthly" (http://www.yachtingmonthly.com/news/525041/nightmare-of-seacock-safety) about seacocks of brass instead of bronze being installed by many boat builders. Some are quoted (Bavaria, Beneteau) unfortunately not Hanse. One of my seacock (H 470, 5 years) looks a bit like the one pictured in the arcticle so I'm a bit worried. Any expert comments on that topic?

Is there no way of eliminating the corrosion process that you can do now, instead of changing everything? How can you see if they are brass or bronze btw?

A discussion was started a short while ago entitled " seacocks"
Not sure how to give you a link but scroll down a few items in this section
It lead on to a question of galvanic isolators etc
