I have installed Raymarine ST60+ instruments to our H320. Since 2008, we have had two guarantee issues: The backlight of a tridata instrument, and calibration problem with the wind instrument. The wind display is still a little asymmetric, but otherwise we are really satisfied.

We have never had those problems I have read about Simrad owners. For example, if I haven’t read Myhanse, I wouldn’t even know that it is possible to reboot an instrument software. Never needed to do it, either.

I have a lot of experience with Raymarine.
I had the ST 60 series with, at that time corresponding chart plotter, radar, gps antena, radar etc. All was working fine in deed.
However, on my next boat I had the current ST 70 series, chartplotter C 120W and C 90W, AIS, Digital Randon radar scanner, VHF Ray, Autopilot, Wind, depth etc... AND all sorts of problems.

Chartplotter booted itself whenever it felt to do so. Autopilot could not hold course. Heading on fluxgate was 20 degree of real direction, units constantly jumped back from meter to feet etc. etc. and so on. Too much to describe here.
Almost everything was replaced several times. For example 3 times the autopilot unit etc.
Finaly after 1.5 years we got it working properly, but I was happy to change to Simrad on my new Hanse until I learnt from this forum about the Simrad problems. I am looking forward to my Hanse which I get in 3 weeks and hope that I do not have Simrad problems.

From my point of view both manufacturers have their software problems and both manufacturer are going too much fancy on their instruments instead of designing equipment that is 100% reliable, and easy to operate with cold wet fingers and in darkness.

From what you say hamafe, it seems to me that the most important factors may be the manufacturer's after sales service and the efforts of their local dealer.
