Under the outside of the hull , directly beneath the galley is a convex metal disk about 12 cms in diameter. Inboard there is a green/yellow cable connected to it which presumably is ground. Conventional wisdom would suggest this might be an anode, but there is no sight of any zinc!
Can anyone enlighten me on why it is there and what it does,

thanks

It's an ground plate for VHF (or SSB).

It's good to see that after all these years there is something new to learn about.

Many thanks for the replies!
